Private family services will be held for Merle Tucker Antley under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville, La. Mrs. Antley was born January 23, 1920, in Farmerville, Louisiana, and passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021, just 21 days from her 101st birthday.
She was the fifth of eight children born to Jesse & Willie Ramsey Tucker.
Merle was preceded in death by the love of her life, Amos Antley; her parents; her brothers, Varner, Jewel, Jurd, Darrell and Glynn; her sisters, Nelda Fay and Corinne; her sisters-in-law, Ruth, Susie Mae, Lillian and Joyce; and her daughters-in-law, Dorothy Murray Antley and Vickie Allen Antley.
She is survived by her sons, Durwood Antley (Donna), Jerry Antley and daughter, Linda Hammett; sister-in-law, Mary Tucker Miller; a whole bunch of wonderful grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, who she loved very much and kept up with all their birthdays and they loved Maw Maw Antley. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many other cherished family and friends.
The family would like to thank all the family and many friends for their support and prayers received during the last several years and for the loving care of Landmark Nursing Home staff over the last five months. If you desire to do a memorial, her favorite was the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home, where she had sent memorials to for at least 30 years.
