Graveside services for Dwayne “Hollywood” Holley, 64, of Oakland, La., will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2021 at Bird’s Chapel Cemetery, in Truxno, La., with Bro. J.D. Gathright officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.
Mr. Holley passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021. Dwayne, or better known as Hollywood, was known as the “Oakland Greeter”. No matter the time of day, if he was home, you could always count on him sitting on his front porch with a wave and a grin for every car that passed by. Hollywood drove a truck for 37 years for Kenneth Mitcham Trucking, hauling wood products throughout our area. He took great pride in keeping his truck clean and for all of his Safety Awards he won from work. Dwayne liked to hunt and fish, but he truly enjoyed spending time with his family.
Mr. Holley was preceded in death by his parents, Elton & Lois Gathright Holley; and brother, Max Holley.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 43 years, Cammy Holley; one daughter, Mandy Holley; two sons, Nathan Holley and Curtis Holley; one brother, W.L. Holley & wife, Dianne; nine grandchildren, Ariel Holley, Dallas Holley, Angel Holley, Jaiydon Holley, Reese Holley, Aaron Shirey, Autumn Parker, Ethan Holley and Noelle Holley; two great-grandchildren, Justin Parker, Jr. and Alyvia Parker; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Holley, Nathan Holley, Aaron Shirey. Roger Reeves, Jr., Bobby Reeves and Allen Reeves.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. ~ 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2021 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel.
