Pete Wade

Memorial services for Pete Wade, 78, of Farmerville will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Wolfe, Jr. officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. Wade passed away on April 15, 2021.  A graduate of Ruston High School, Mr. Pete retired from T.L. James and Co. after 21 years and from the Army National Guard after serving for 23 years.  He loved attending Dirt Track Races at many of the local tracks, including Monroe, Chatham, Sterlington, Monticello and Farmerville.  You could also find him grading many of these tracks.  He never missed NASCAR and enjoyed watching Car auctions on T.V., deer hunting and catching big Opelousas Catfish.  He adored his wife, children and grandchildren and will be truly missed by all.

Mr. Wade was preceded in death by his parents, Prentiss H. Wade, Sr & Earline Hammons Wade; son, James Warren Wade; step-daughter, Carmen Fields; sister, Peggy Wade Leachman; and brother-in-law, Lane Leachman.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 31 years, Kathy Swarers Wade; two sons, Prentiss Wade (Kelli) and Brandon Wade (Kristi); two daughters, Shannon Hobbs and Tonia Boggs (Stacy); grandchildren, Lexis Wade Johnson, Gavin Wade, Alexis Templeton, Andy Templeton, Blake Powell, Paige Boggs, Katie Murray, Austin Hobbs, Jacob Hobbs, Lacie Fields and Emily Fields; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Prentiss Wade, Brandon Wade, Blake Powell, Gavin Wade, Austin Hobbs, Jacob Hobbs, Buddy Blocker and Jamie Pylant.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. ~ 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel.
