Funeral services for Melvin Albritton will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Rocky Branch Assembly of God with Rev. Eugene Brown and Rev. Justin Uselton officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, February 19, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Melvin was born April 30, 1944 in Point, LA and passed away on February 12, 2021 in West Monroe, LA.
Melvin is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy Mahoney Albritton; children, Melvin David Albritton and his wife Megan; Jason Brandon Albritton and his wife Mary Beth; and his four beloved grandchildren, Pearl, Fern, Sylvia and Jasper; his brothers, Nathan Albritton and his wife Shirley, Lynn Albritton and his wife Sharon, Jarvin Albritton, and Kalan Albritton; sisters, Linda Wolf and her husband Jeff, Debbie Albritton, and Dora Albritton; his in-laws Phil Mahoney and wife Carolyn, Judy Mahoney Reneau and her husband Charles, and Rita Mahoney Ford and her husband Paul; and a whole host of nieces and nephews.
Melvin was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and was retired from General Motors. He was a member of the Rocky Branch Assembly of God.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Albritton, Kevin Albritton, Lawrence Matthews, Justin Reneau, James Reneau, and Casey Albritton.
