Several persons in Union Parish answered the summons of death last week, most of them dying with the prevailing la grippe, which developed into pneumonia.
Among the deaths that have occurred since our last issue are: Mrs. J. C. Nolan, of the 2nd ward who died Thursday; Mrs. P. L. Miller, of the 1st ward, Tuesday; Mrs. Martha Kennedy, of Holmesville vicinity, Friday night; Mr. Frank Markstein, near Farmerville, Sunday night; the ten month’s old child of Mr. and Mrs. R. Haas, of Farmerville, Monday morning.
To the grief stricken relatives, The Gazette extends deepest sympathy in their sore affliction.
