After a week’s illness with pneumonia, Mr. S. W. Ramsey, Sr., died Wednesday morning at 3 o’clock, at his residence four miles north of Farmerville. Mr. Ramsey was a large land holder and one of the oldest citizens of Union Parish—nearly 82 years of age. For the past several years his eye-sight has been considerably impaired, but aside from that his general health was good for one of his advanced years until his recent illness. His remains will be interred to-day at Zion Hill cemetery.


Mr. and Mrs. C. P. McHenry, of El Dorado, Ark., Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Cann, of Ruston, and Mr. J. K. Ramsey, of Junction City, were summoned to the bedside of their relative, Mr. S. W. Ramsey, Sr., who died Wednesday morning with pneumonia.
