Death of Mrs. W. D. Munholland

The Gazette
October 21, 1896

At 10 minutes past two p.m. yesterday, Mrs. W. D. Munholland died at Dr. Gladden’s residence in this city of septic fever resulting from the birth of her child sixteen days ago. Her maiden name was Mabel Silvermore Shotwell, a native of New Orleans, a sister of R. A. Shotwell and George Shotwell. She was twenty-one years old last June and enjoyed splendid health and vigor. Beloved and loving, bright and beautiful in spirit, form and face, death found his shining mark in the fair young wife and mother. No words, though written with tears, can portray the sadness of this death. To her husband and relatives we render all the solace that friendly sympathy can give.
