Mr. F. Selig

Mr. F. Selig, a well known business man of this town, died at his residence, Monday evening at 6 o’clock after a long and painful illness. Deceased was born in B(?), near Münzen in Germany, and came to this country in 1865. He worked in New York and Cleveland, Ohio until 1871, when he came to Farmerville and entered the employ of D. Stein & Co., whom he served several years, after which he engaged in business for himself at Shiloh and later on at this place. Deceased leaves a wife and 7 children. At the time of his death he was a member of the Knights of Pythias, Knights of Honor, I. O. B. B. and American Legion of Honor. He was buried at 3 o’clock yesterday evening in the Jewish cemetery at this place, by Pelican Lodge No. 17, Knights of Pythias.
