Graveside services for Doyle Milton “Pete” Farris, 61, of Houston, Texas will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 12, 2013 at Liberty Hill/Taylor Cemetery with Bro. Phillip Farris officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.
Pete was born December 2, 1951 in Farmerville, LA and passed away April 8, 2013 in Houston, TX. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
After graduating from Farmerville High School, he began a long career in the pipeline/construction business which he loved with a passion. He was most proud of being part of the construction of the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge. He retired in 2009 after 40 years due to health issues.
He was preceded in death by his parents, C. L. and Frances Farris and sister Dianne Nolan.
He is survived by son, Joey Farris and wife Nadia of Farmerville, LA; four grandchildren; brother, Danny Farris and wife Mary Beth of Tuscola, Texas; brother-in-law, Jimmy Nolan of Dubach, LA; special aunt, Marvis Nell “Ted” Spano of Farmerville, LA; a host of nieces and nephews and beloved Darlene Farris of Woodville, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Mike Farris, JD Farris, Kurt Weir, Kent Weir, J.N. Williams and Von Hearn.
