Lorena Walker Neygard

The Gazette
September 18, 1895

We were saddened last week to learn of the death of Mrs. Lorena Neygard, the estimable wife of Mr. W. C. Neygard, who lives several miles east of town. She was young, beautiful, christian-spirited and the thrifty help mate of an honorable and energetic young farmer. It is sad to contemplate that she was cut down so early in life by the reaper Death, when her home life was so happy and the future appeared all happiness to her. She was the daughter of that estimable couple, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Walker, Sr., of Marion, this parish.

The Gazette extends the deepest sympathy to the aged parents and the grief stricken husband.
