Funeral services for Michael “Mickey” Denton, of Farmerville, will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Farmerville Church of Christ with Jerry Keene and Larry White officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.
Mr. Denton, 72, went to his heavenly home on April 28, 2017. He was an avid gun collector, loved to garden and was especially known for his watermelons. He enjoyed operating his bull dozers, tractors and providing service to his customers. He owned and operated Denton Farms Tractors & Implements, LLC. Mickey was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He was on various Boards and Committees while serving as a Welding Instructor at the Vo-Tech, Farmer, Business Owner and Auxiliary Deputy. He will be remembered as a very generous, caring and loving soul.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.A. & Neva Rockett Denton.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 52 years, Pam Denton of Farmerville; two daughters, Lisa Denton Harper and Mandy Denton Kennedy & husband, Gary all of Farmerville; one brother, Lane Denton & wife, Louise of Farmerville; three sisters, Peggy Sehon & husband, George “Bub” of Marion, Sherry Farrington of Farmerville, and Debbie Williams & husband, Robbie of El Dorado; two grandchildren, Paige Mabry & husband, Tyler and Chasen Kennedy; one great grandchild, Adalyn Mabry; very special in-laws, Pat & Charles Terral, Mary & Von Freeman, Gary & Rachael Tucker and Tommy & Donna Tucker; and many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Mabry, Mike Estes, Dustin Freeman, David Aldridge, David Gaar and Mitch Tucker.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Lee Royce & Bonnie Alford, Jo Ann & Leslie Spigener, George & Mary Ann Cothran, Faye Thomas and Elta Knight.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Farmerville Church of Christ from 1:30pm – 3:00pm with service immediately following.
Memorials may be made to St. Judes or the Union Parish Council on Aging Meals on Wheels program.
