Joe B. “Dick” Aulds

Funeral services for Joe B. “Dick” Aulds, of Spearsville will be held at 2:30 pm Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Camp Creek Baptist Church near Spearsville with Rev. Willie Cottrell officiating. Burial will be in Camp Creek Cemetery with Military Honors and under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. Aulds, 97, went to his heavenly home March 31, 2017. He was retired from Commercial Solvents, was a farmer and a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church where he was a deacon since 1966. He was a WWII Veteran having served in India and China. Mr. Aulds loved his family and enjoyed hunting and farming. Mr. Aulds also loved his church family, community and his preacher friends. He had a great respect and love for God and his country as well as being very patriotic, supporting all veterans’ affairs. He was a devoted supporter of St. Jude.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Futch Aulds; parents: Floyd & Lavania Aulds and one brother George Aulds.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: two sons & daughters-in-law: Rev. Joe C. Aulds (Donna) of Ruston, LA; and Kerry Lane Aulds (Barbara) of Spearsville, LA; and one daughter & son-in law, Barbara A. Nutt (Billy) of Arcadia, LA; 6 grandchildren: Janet Maxwell, Tonya Blanton, Stephen Nutt, Kimberly Aulds Lowe, Joe C. Aulds and Rachel Shirley; 16 great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Joe C. Aulds, Stephen Nutt, Gary Maxwell, Barry Blanton, Marvin Kennedy and Jim Rhodes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Troy Risinger, Charles Futch, Max Futch, Josh Shirley, Danny Rockett, and Van Winn.

Visitation is 6-8 pm Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Camp Creek Baptist Church near Spearsville.
