The earthly journey of Jack L. Brumfield of Baton Rouge ended Sunday afternoon, November 20, 2016, at home. He was in the presence of his family and is now
walking with the angels on the Heavenly streets of gold.
Jack was born in Baton Rouge April 22, 1934. Funeral services were held at Istrouma Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. While this life on earth is over, his family and friends celebrate as his glorious new journey in eternity has begun.
Jack is survived by: His loving wife and best friend of 63 years, Marlene. The Brumfields are former residents of Farmerville and attended First Baptist Church here. He is also survived by: His daughter DiAnne Haddox and husband Kinny of Farmerville; son David Brumfield and wife Janet of Baton Rouge; daughter Nancy Parker and husband Chris of Denham Springs; six grandchildren Evie and Emma Davis and William, Stewart and Jack Haddox and Salvatore Cannizzaro. His great grandchildren were also a special joy and comfort to him. His legacy will live on through them.
Jack gave his life to Jesus when he was nine years old. He spent his life serving others and was a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. He retired from Shell Chemical
in Geismar. He served in the U.S. Army in Washington, D.C. He loved the outdoors and fishing was his favorite past time. He enjoyed God’s glory many days fishing in
the marsh, the Gulf of Mexico, the Atchafalaya Basin, Toledo Bend and Lake D’Arbonne.

His grandchildren were a great joy of his life as he watched them grow and become loving, caring, serving adults. In turn, his grandchildren grew to respect him,
follow his example and loved him dearly. He also has eight loving great grandchildren – Addison and Laney Brumfiel,
