He retired from the State of Louisiana after having worked for the Dept. of Health and the Dept. of Corrections. A country boy at heart, he enjoyed quail hunting with his bird dogs, his vegetable garden, telling stories of growing up in rural North LA, and sports — anything LSU, Saints, or Texas Rangers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings- brothers, Aubrey Antley and wife Elma, Smith Antley and wife Erma Jean, and Huey Antley; and sisters, Betty Tucker and husband Bobby, Grace Pixley, and Jean Davis.

His brother Billy L. Antley and wife Ivee of Point, LA, also survive him, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and spouses of his siblings: Gary Davis, Bobbie Antley, and Paul Pixley. Mr. Antley’s first great-grandchild, Dixie Claire Rhodes (due date late March, 2016) had not arrived before his passing.
