James Keith Byram


Funeral services for James “Keith” Byram, 86, of Spearsville, LA will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 6th, 2014 at Camp Creek Baptist Church near Spearsville with Bro. Buddy Boatwright officiating. Burial will be in Camp Creek Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mr. Byram, a farmer, pipeliner, oilfield driller, logger and truck driver, went to his heavenly home October 4th, 2014. He was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church, a Union Parish Police Juror for three terms, serving as president for one term, Union Parish Deputy under Sheriff Dennis Long, Owner of Broken Bow Express Trucking of Bernice since the early 1990’s up until his death. He was also a WWII Army Veteran having served in Japan.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy Goocher Byram; son-J.K. Byram, Jr; Sister-Mildred Byram Hendrix, Parents: Henry and Irma McDougald Byram.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Rose Marie Byram of Spearsville; 1Step son-Bryant Hood; 2 Step daughters: Sharon Hood Taylor of Dubach; Nell Hood Elmore of Winnsboro, TX Nieces: Marsha Anne Walker, Wanda Gail Freedman; Nephew: Brian Smith; 1 Sister-Carolyn Byram of Pineville; 4 Step grandchildren and a host other relatives and friends.

Visitation is 5-8PM Sunday at Camp Creek Baptist Church.
