If I could just call Heaven
I’ll tell you what I’d say,
Please come back and be with us,
Give us one more day.

Tomorrow we will be without you,
You will be in your heavenly home.
You will be rejoicing with old family,
But we will feel alone.

Although you have left us,
Your love runs deep in our veins.
We can feel you in our hearts,
Holding together the pieces that remain.

I ask you to watch over us every day,
Help us dry away the tears.
Keep us strong and held together,
As we reflect on your final years.

Just know-You are more than a “Papaw”
More to us than you can imagine.
So, if I could just call heaven…
I’d promise you we love you and can’t
Wait to see you again.
