Funeral services for Mr. William Warren “Bill” Washam, 80, of Lillie will be held at 2:00P.M. Saturday March 29th at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville with Bro. John Saunders officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery in Spearsville under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.
Mr. Washam went to his heavenly home March 26, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of Lillie and Union Parish, a member of Antioch Church of Christ in Spearsville, a veteran of the Korean War, a lineman for Arkansas Power & Light (Entergy) for 37 years. He was an avid hunter, an excellent marksman and a gunsmith, entrusted by many hunters and gun owners throughout the South.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Wilson & Bess Washam.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Peggy Washam; 1 son: Warren Washam & wife, Teresa of Dubach and 1 daughter: Kathy Carter & husband, Harvey of Junction City, LA; 2 sisters-in-law: Sue Nugent of Winnsboro, LA and Ruth DeVoll & husband, Eddie of Sunnyvale, TX; 2 brothers-in-law: John Saunders & wife, Sue of Farmerville and J.T. Saunders & wife, Patsy of Spearsville.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00PM Friday at Farrar Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Randy Draper, Latty Truell, Dr. Charles Nash, Pat Wallace, Steven DeVoll and Gerald Wilson.
