Celebration of life and going home service for Bruce Allen Kitchens, 60, were held Wednesday, January 22 at 10 a.m. at the Faith Family Church in Natchitoches, La with Rev. Stephen Chiaccio officiating. Interment followed at Union Cemetery in Marion, La. Visitation was held Tuesday, January 21, 2014, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Kitchens was born August 13, 1953, in Newton, Miss, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 18, 2014, in Alexandria, La. Mr. Kitchens was a native of Newton, Miss. He graduated from mortuary school in Dallas, Tx in 1974. He was a funeral director in the Natchitoches and Coushatta areas for many years. He was presently manager of the Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Coushatta. He was a deacon at the Faith Family Church.
Preceding him in death were parents, John and Mellie Kitchens and brother, Gary Kitchens.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rita Kay Kitchens of Marion, La; son, Brian Alan Kitchens of Natchitoches, La; daughter, Katerina Lene’ Kitchens of Kelly, La; grandchildren, Morgan St. Clair Kitchens and Brian Alan Kitchens, Jr.; and brothers, Jimmy Kitchens, Baton Rouge, La and Rev. Joe Ronald Kitchens of Brookhaven, Miss.
Those honoring Mr. Kitchens as pallbearers were Wesley D. Holman, Ronald Holman, Donald Holman, David White, Martin Kelly, and Charles M. White. Honorary pallbearers were George Batson, Charles D. White, Donny Whitehead, and James Webb along with his coworkers from Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Homes.
