Mr. Farrington passed away November 24, 2013. He was born and raised in Shongaloo, LA. After graduating from Evergreen High School in 1953, Chuck immediately enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp where he served as a Military Policeman. After service, he followed his brother, Harold, to Farmerville to work on drilling rigs. While here, he met his future wife, Sherry Denton Farrington. After marriage, they resided in Marion, LA. Here he began his lifelong career in the Monroe Oil and Gas Field in 1962 with Southwest Gas Co. in Haile, LA. Currently he was the co-owner of this same operation; now, Drake Energy Corp., where he continued to work until his passing. He raised his family in the Wards Chapel community.

He preached for 13 years at Wards Chapel Church of Christ and later, many years at the Lillie Church of Christ where he preached his last sermon in February of this year.

His hobbies were fishing, bird hunting, working on projects in his shop and being with family. He had a great love for music and playing the guitar, but his greatest love of all was preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Chuck was known for being a dependable and dedicated family man who always put the needs of his family first and asked for nothing in return. He will be missed.
