Mrs. Cobb died on January 24, 2013 in Atlanta, Texas. Mrs. Cobb was born September 16, 1921 in Farmerville, Louisiana to Frank and Lovie Hollis Goss. She graduated from Farmerville High School and Louisiana Tech University in Ruston. Mrs. Cobb was retired from the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation in Atlanta after twenty-three years and also worked at United Gas in Shreveport for two years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, M.M. Cobb in 1997 and her son, Gary W. Cobb in 2005.
Mrs. Cobb was a member of First United Methodist Church of Atlanta.
Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Mark and Marilyn Cobb of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Jennifer Owens and Daniel Cobb of Atlanta and Christopher Cobb of Texarkana; and one brother, James W. Goss of Dallas. Other survivors include four great grandchildren, Evan, Juliana, Easton and Colsen, and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held January 27, 2013 at First United Methodist Church in Atlanta with burial at Pinecrest Cemetary in Atlanta.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, Atlanta, Texas.
