Funeral services for Mr. Tommy Williams, 79, of Farmerville will be 11:00am Monday, November 5, 2012 at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Connie Ward, Bro. Bob Jackson and Bro. Bob Witt officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mr. Williams, a retired mechanic and bus driver for the Union Parish Schools, died November 1, 2012. He graduated from Marion High School in 1951, was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, chairman of deacons, and served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a cattle farmer, enjoyed baling hay and going to cow sales. And, he loved people.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Rena Williams, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nell Williams; 2 sons: Robert Alton Williams & wife, Rhonda and Don Williams & special friend, Sara Tucker; 2 grandsons: Morgan Williams and Blake Williams and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Spence Allen, Walker Burson, Rex Cobb, Ray Hammons, Jearl Savage and G.V. ‘Bub’ Sehon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Marc Taylor and the deacons of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Visitation is 5-8pm Sunday at Farrar Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Zion Hill Baptist Church fence fund at 6166 Hwy. 15 North, Farmerville, LA 71241.
