Funeral services for Danny Allen Tucker of Lillie will be 10:00AM Monday, September 24, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Bernice with Bro. Rick Walters officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery, Spearsville.

 

Mr. Tucker was born September 27, 1949 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Allen H. Tucker and the late Betty Janice Pratt Tucker.

Mr. Tucker was a member of Connect Point Church and is now walking the streets of gold.

He is survived by wife, Cathy Tucker of Lillie; 2 sons: Sherman Worth and wife, Robin; Jason Tucker and wife, Rene; 1 daughter: Shari Powell; grandsons: Chris Worth, Dakota Powell, Brandon Tucker and J. J. Tucker; grand-daughters: Kristin Worth and Geraldine Tucker; brother: Robert W. Tucker and wife Alice; and a host of family and friends.

Mr. Tucker, an Air Force veteran, retired from Lion Oil Refinery after working there 25 years.

Danny was an avid sportsman and hunter. He was one of the founding members of the Corney Creek Long Spurs Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation. He spent countless hours on banquets, hunts and fundraising. He spent hours and hours devoting his knowledge and skills to the Union Parish 4-H Shooting Program.

Pallbearers are Michael R. Colvin, Michael P. Rainwater, Sonny Barnett, Andy Singleton, Chad Bowen, Steve Chamberlain and Chris Cole. Honorary pallbearers are Jed Rhodes, Randy Smith and Kenny Reynolds.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00-8:00PM at First Baptist Church, Bernice.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Connect Point Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 407, Bernice, LA 71222 in memory of Danny Tucker.
