Funeral services for Mr. A. C. Buckley, 88, of Farmerville were held at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Farmerville First Assembly of God Church with Bro. Robbie Lawson officiating. Pallbearers were his grandsons: Jonathan Smith, Andy Roan, John Roan, Joseph Smith, Chris McWhorter and Claiborne Smith. Honorary pallbearers were the men of Farmerville First Assembly. Burial followed at Enterprise Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mr. Buckley went to his heavenly home on March 5, 2012. He was a U. S. Veteran, having proudly served in the Navy during WWII. He was a faithful member, and a former board member, at Farmerville First Assembly of God Church where he also served as a greeter welcoming members and visitors. He was retired as Sgt. with the Louisiana State Police after 25 years; and was a park Ranger at D’Arbonne State Park for 12 years. Mr. A. C. was well known for entertaining children and adults alike with his magic tricks and jokes. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather. He dearly loved his Lord, his church and his family. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents: A. L. & Gertrude Buckley and 1 sister, Louise Jones.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary Buckley of Farmerville; 3 daughters: Sandy Cascio & husband, Don of Denham Springs; Wanda Roan & husband, David of Farmerville and Vickie McWhorter & husband, Buck of West Monroe; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; special cousin, Bob Buckley; numerous other relatives and many friends.
