Funeral services for Ruth Bearden Albritton, of Farmerville were held at 10 a.m. April 14, 2008 at Sardis Baptist Church. Bros. J. L. Williams & Wendell Sellers officiated. Burial followed in Sardis Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.
Mrs. Albritton, a homemaker, died April 10. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church, an avid crocheter, and enjoyed the outdoors immensely working in her flowerbeds.
She is preceded in death by her fathers, Bennie B. Bearden and John O. Skains; husband, Marvin Albritton, and a brother, Taylor Skains.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and Mike Marchant; two grandchildren: Joey and Alissa Marchant; her mothers, Shirley Primm and Orare Skains; three brothers: Bennie B. Skains and wife, Nan; Danny Skains and wife, Debbie and Jerry Butler; five sisters: Beth Bearden, Lillian Savoie and husband, Roy, Mary Ann Miller, Joyce Smith and husband, Clint and Wanda Cole and husband, John; two special sisters-in-law: Ida Belle Albritton and Maxine Skains; a host of nieces and nephews and best friend, Christine Bearden.
Pallbearers will be John A. Skains, Ricky Albritton, Richard Earl Bearden, Stan Bearden, Kim Skains, Ricky Skains and Bradley Bryan.
Visitation was held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at Farrar Funeral Home.
